Original ideas for a barbecue

Barbecues are usually held in good weather. You can do them on the terrace, in the garden or enjoy them in the field or on the beach. In addition, they can be the best excuse to celebrate a reunion party after confinement, a birthday, a party with friends or simply have a barbecue because you feel like it.
So that this season you surprise everyone with your grilled or barbecue recipes, we propose some original ideas that you are going to love and that go beyond what we usually do on the barbecue.

½ cup olive oil
4 cloves of garlic
2 avocados
Cherry tomatoes

Grilled peppers with egg

A complete dish for the whole family. Ingredients:

3 different colored peppers
1-2 tablespoons feta cheese (mozarella, goat cheese, whichever you like best) crumbled
1 tablespoon fresh oregano
Olive oil
6 eggs

preparation:

Cut the peppers in half and empty of seeds, place them on the barbecue side down for ten minutes until they begin to soften and the skin is slightly charred, remove and drizzle the inside with a little olive oil, salt and pepper.
Sprinkle with fresh oregano, divide the crumbled feta cheese between the three peppers.
Break an egg inside each one.
Put everything back on the grill for fifteen minutes, but this time on a pan, plate or stone so that the heat is not direct.
Place a lid if it is a grill or close the barbecue over the peppers so that they cook better.
Season with salt and add the rest of the oregano.

Add provolone cheese and blue cheese to your barbecue chicken. Also, you can include a little apple to enhance the flavor.

Ingredients

Boneless skinless chicken breast fillets
4 teaspoons chicken dressing
1 Gala apple cut into wedges
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
4 slices of provolone cheese
¼ cup blue cheese, crumbled

Preparation

Sprinkle both sides of the steaks with seasoning. In a small bowl, mix the apple slices and lemon juice so they do not brown.
Grill the chicken on the barbecue over medium heat until done.
Put the apple on the grill. Cook covered for two to three minutes, until golden brown.
Once the fillets are practically done, cover with provolone cheese. Cook a couple more minutes until the cheese melts.
Sprinkle the chicken with crumbled blue cheese.

Grilled Mango Cheese Salad

Grilled Mango Cheese Salad

Place a good handful of chopped cherry tomatoes and salad mix in a salad bowl.
Slice two ripe mangoes and grill them, round and round.

Do the same with a goat cheese roll, without giving it time to melt. Garnish with Modena vinegar or you can make a vinaigrette with whatever you like to garnish it.

Delicious, low in calories and very easy to make, ideal for a first course or to accompany our barbecue meats.

Chicken Yakitoris

Chicken Yakitoris

Cut chicken and chives into cubes and thread them onto skewers to be able to grill them more comfortably.

One trick is to immerse the wooden sticks in water for a few minutes to better withstand the heat of the grill.

Turn the skewers over the grill as they cook and drizzle with yakitori sauce.

When they are golden, you will know that they are ready to eat.

Smoked salmon tacos

Smoked salmon tacos

Place the diced salmon on a corrugated tray so that the smoke circulates well.

Add dill for extra flavor.

Light the embers on the side and close the barbecue until it emits a lot of smoke.

Then place the tray with the salmon on the opposite side of the fire so that all the smoke passes over it.

After four minutes remove the fish from the grill and add salt, avocado and chives.

Nothing like a good toast to eat between talks with friends, as an aperitif or to accompany a dish.

We can barbecue them in a very simple way, toasting slices of bread on the grill so that they take on that smoky flavor.

Put the avocado slices on the grill just to mark them, then you just have to top them with avocado, tomato and cheese slices with a touch of olive oil or the dressing you like the most.

Tequila Marinated BBQ Chicken Thighs

Ingredients for 6 people):

One and a half teaspoons of ground cumin
A teaspoon of chili powder
A pinch of coarse salt
A pinch of chipotle
6 bone-in chicken thighs
125 ml of pineapple juice
150 ml of tequila
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons lemon zest
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Ground pepper
Honey

Mix the first four ingredients in a bowl and coat the chicken with the resulting mixture. In a separate pot, mix the honey, tequila, and pineapple juice and bring them to a boil for about ten minutes.

In another separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with two teaspoons of water and add this mixture to which we have brought to a boil and again let it boil again while stirring with a few rods. After a couple of minutes, we add the lemon zest, lemon juice and ground pepper.

We cook the chicken on the grill for five minutes on each side, sprinkling from time to time with the mixture we have prepared. Thus, we are turning the thighs every five minutes, adding our juice until they are well done.

King prawns with chives and hot sauce

Ingredients for 6 people):

About 20 large prawns
2 tablespoons of fish broth
A chives
A tablespoon of sugar
One teaspoon of hot sauce (Sriracha type)
A clove of garlic, finely minced
A tablespoon and a half of chili
A tablespoon of water
A few coriander leaves
Juice of one lime

We peel and clean the prawns well and let them dry on absorbent kitchen paper and reserve. In a separate bowl, add the fish broth, finely chopped chives, sugar, a tablespoon of hot sauce and a finely chopped garlic clove. When we have mixed all the ingredients well, add the prawns into the bowl and marinate for 15 minutes so that they are well impregnated with the sauce.

Then we put three prawns on each of the metal skewers and place on the grill until they are well done on both sides. Finally, and as an optional resource, we can make a sauce with chili, water, cilantro and lime juice that can be a perfect vinaigrette for this recipe.
