BBQ Chicken recipe
The chicken can be marinated in different ways:
Seasoned with cumin and lemon
Spread with a mixture of olive oil or similar, garlic and salt

Another option is to dress the chicken with barbecue sauce or chipotle sauce if you like something spicier.
We recommend that you season the chicken the day before cooking and leave it to marinate in the fridge. You will obtain an exquisite result since the chicken will be much tastier.
This recipe can also be used on chicken wings, breast or stilts, you just have to adjust the cooking times of the chicken.
You can make homemade barbecue sauce, it is very easy and quick to prepare and the result is spectacular. Commercial barbecue sauces have a smoky touch that is difficult to achieve at home, but their flavor and simplicity will conquer you anyway.
The ingredients for the barbecue sauce are very simple and it also accepts the option of making it spicy or not, either by adding tabasco or changing the sweet paprika for spicy. It has a sweet touch that goes great with grilled meats and a very creamy and consistent texture, ideal for marinating meats.
Go ahead and prepare this exquisite sauce, which will serve as an accompaniment to countless dishes such as: chicken wings, thighs and thighs or even homemade chicken and turkey burgers. If you want to use it as an aperitif, it looks great with sautéed potatoes, it is also a good combination to prepare patatas bravas but with barbecue sauce. You already know that the potato is very grateful and accepts all kinds of dressings.
Ingredients for the barbecue sauce (300 g):
2 chives or a medium sized onion
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Perrins sauce (can be substituted for Worcestershire sauce)
1 tablespoon of sweet paprika (or if you prefer it more powerful, hot paprika)
1 tablespoon mustard (it is best to use old-fashioned mustard, either crushed or grain)
2 tablespoons of honey
2 tablespoons ketchup
200 gr of tomato sauce (better if it is homemade) or crushed natural tomato.
1 tablespoon soy sauce
4 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon of olive oil or similar.
7-8 drops of tabasco (optional, and you can add the amount to your liking, try the sauce)
Ground black pepper and salt.
Preparing the barbecue sauce for the chicken
We wash the chives, remove the green part and the roots and chop them very finely. In a non-stick frying pan with the olive oil and with the heat over medium heat, add the chives and a little salt and let it cook until it is soft and transparent, without getting to brown (it will take almost 10 minutes).
When the onion is practically done, add the brown sugar and stir well for a couple of minutes so that the onion finishes caramelizing completely.
Then add the tomato sauce and stir well, let it cook together for another couple of minutes.
Now is the time to add the rest of the ingredients: the Perrins sauce, the sweet (or spicy) paprika, the mustard, the honey, the ketchup, the soy sauce, the vinegar, ground black pepper to taste and the Tabasco (optional , only if you want to give it a spicy touch).
Let everything cook over a low heat for 5 minutes, stirring from time to time and trying not to stick. Taste the sauce to rectify its flavor and make it to your liking.
